This nutritious and delicious smoothie is packed with immune-boosting Vitamin C, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties to help you stay healthy and energized throughout the long and cold winter.
This recipe makes two servings, making it perfect if you want your little ones to try some new fruits and veggies. Enjoy as an energizing breakfast or a mid-afternoon snack.
Tip: If you have leftovers you can freeze in an ice cube tray for a future smoothie. Or even meal-prep this smoothie and freeze it in the ice cube tray for busy mornings. Just add liquid (milk, water or 100% orange juice) and enjoy!
Immune-Boosting Smoothie Recipe
1/2 cup low-fat, plain Greek yogurt
1 cup milk or milk alternative
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup frozen mango
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1/2 cup carrot, chopped
1-inch knob of ginger, or 1 teaspoon dried
Optional: sprinkle of turmeric and a crack of black pepper
Add all ingredients into a blender.
Blend until smooth and without chunks.
Pour into a glass and enjoy!
